FUNDRAISING FEASIBILITY STUDY

In order to inform the drafting of a realistic fundraising strategy, a study can be conducted to ascertain the funding potential within a particular field or geographical area, or to compare the potential for identifying prospects from different constituencies.

NEW PROSPECT IDENTIFICATION

New prospects can be identified according to criteria established between the client and Telos Research. These new prospects could consist of potential major donors, potential fundraising committee members, or prospects for any number of different types of campaign. As well as individuals, new grant-making trust prospects or new corporate prospects can be identified.

Profiles are provided at a depth specified by the client and the information included can be tailored to meet the needs of the client.

TRUST REVIEW

Trust Review can be conducted to ensure that a fundraiser is getting the most out of his or her trust prospects.

This can include research into a database of donor grant-making trusts or foundations to establish the potential for increasing revenue from these trusts and to identify which trusts are the hottest prospects for an increase in donation level. It may also include reviewing those trusts already identified which have not yet made a donation, to ascertain whether an ask may be fruitful under different circumstances, or with perseverance. It may include the identification of new potential donor trusts.

RESEARCH CONSULTANCY AND TRAINING

Consultancy is provided in the form of a review of a clients’ existing research facilities. Rebecca can meet with a researcher, fundraiser, director or combination of any of these or liaise by email and telephone to establish the extent and effectiveness of an organisation’s research facilities. Following a review, recommendations will be made as to how these facilities may be improved with consideration to budgetary constraints.

Training is provided to fundraisers and/or researchers, relating to various aspects of fundraising research according to the requirements of the client, including the planning and organisation of research; the use of research sources; wealth information sources and wealth estimation; connections mapping; and hands-on profile building or new prospect identification.
